Sharing holiness

We have been learning about showing holiness by saying and doing small things that make other people happy. The first thing we did was that we got a piece of paper which was small and it said one sentence. My one said “encouraging a friend at spelling when he is having a bad time.”  We had to read our sentence and work out which one was the most important and make a line from one window across to the other. What we decided in the end was that they were all important and positive and holy. Then we created our favourite way of sharing holiness.

Folk Tale Plays

This term we made mask about fairy tales the fairy that i got was the three billy goats gruff and I was the middle billy goat gruff my team was all of my friends and we had to practise the lines too and the first step was to cut around a plastic plate the second step was the copy and draw the picture that you were picked as the third step was to paint inside our drawing finally we had to give it to our picture to our teacher to cut out the eyes and mouth and then she would put strings on it so we could put it around our head

My Haiku Poem

Big green slimy frog

Lives in a damp forest floor

Catches food with tongue.

 

In room 6,  we learned about New Zealand frogs. There are three species of frogs that live in New Zealand. They are  Archey’s frog, Hamilton’s frog and Hochstetter Frog. We made origami frogs and we drew the frogs too. I did a drawing on Hochstetter frog.

Challenge AI

Today in our Cybersmart lesson we created… AI pictures of fairy tales

The first thing we did was… write a description of what we saw in Mr Hughes pictures.

Next we had to…create our picture of a fairy tale scene

The last step was…upload our creative learning to our blog

The most interesting part of creating this activity was  when I saw my own creation after describing what I wanted it to look like.

 

All About Me

Last week in Cybersmart, I had to find a photo of me that I liked and add it to my poster. Then I filled in all the details about myself and I said I would like to be better at handwriting this year. After that I had to add my poster to my blog.

The Ascension

First I drew the hills and then painted it in. It was a little easy for me and then I drew the clouds. I had to draw the disciples and that was the hardest part. The Ascension is a very important day for Christians because it reminds us of the day Jesus went back to heaven to be with his father. Jesus promised to be with them and even us forever and I feel comforted by that.

ANZAC Day

We made poppy sun catchers for ANZAC Day so we can remember all the soldiers who went away from their families and never came back.enjoyed making mine. ANZAC DAY is a day that we remember the soldiers who died in wars. World war one started in 1914 and ended in 1918 and World War Two started in 1939 and ended in 1945. The soldiers were young and many died and sacrificed their lives for their countries. Some animals were in war too like dogs, cats, donkeys and they were called mascots. The dogs could sense humans and their feelings and the  cats killed rats in the trenches and donkeys carried stuff if they were too heavy for the soldiers. They carried supplies and did you know a donkey can walk longer than a horse without water but horses are faster but they get thirsty quicker. Now our poppy sun catchers are up on the window.
